Can My Child Really Learn To Draw Using Your Virtual Art Lessons?

YES!

Whether your child learns to draw with us in a weekly live zoom after school art class or in an art birthday party or by following along with a pre-recorded art lesson video - we teach children how to draw one-step-at-a-time using black permanent marker on acid free white art paper. Our instructors draw step-by-step on large paper so everyone can see. Each child draws on his/her own paper at home.

Our “no mistakes in art” approach to drawing promotes creative problem solving and fosters individual interpretation.

We provide just the right balance of structure and creative freedom so that everyone may experience the joy of a successful outcome.

The results are as varied as the children are themselves, and the colors they choose during the finishing process reflect their individuality even more.

What if we don’t have the right supplies?

No worries!

Your child can use whatever supplies you have at home.

We know from experience that a black permanent marker provides a strong, bold line. It also reinforces the “no mistakes in art” aspect of the art lesson. Acid free art paper won’t crumble and turn yellow, ever, if stored properly in a cool, dry place.

However, if you don’t have a sharpie and you don’t have acid free art paper - your child can draw with a ballpoint pen or a black colored pencil on regular copy paper.

No matter what your child draws on or draws with - the benefits of making art are real.

We DO recommend that you put something under the drawing to protect the work surface. A plastic place mat, an impervious table cover, or a thick paper mat (made out of poster board) will work.

Drawing Bon Bon 2.jpg

No previous Experience or special skill is necessary to learn how to draw.

Drawing is a teachable skill.

Like learning to ride a bike or play a musical instrument, learning to draw is a "quality of life" skill that brings joy, provides a positive outlet, and enhances lives.

New students can be sure they will love learning to draw from the very first lesson, and returning students can look forward to new art lessons week after week.

We encourage you to draw together as a family to see how much fun this is!
