Behavioral Expectations - Policies
ArtzHub Class/ Camp Participants Will:
Consistently demonstrate respect for the instructor(s).
Consistently and appropriately participate in the presented activities.
Consistently demonstrate respect for other participants.
Consider their interest in the class/camp and make a choice to attend the class/camp.
ArtzHub instructors are entitled to discontinue a child’s participation in order to preserve the integrity of the class/camp and the class/camp experience for the other participants.
Any child who is not following the expectations detailed below will have 1 opportunity to re-join the class/camp with the expectation that their behavior will be in line with the class/camp behavioral expectations for the remaining classes/camps.
After 1 opportunity is used, the child will be asked to leave the class/camp.
If a child is asked to leave the class/camp, he/she may not return for the remainder of the session of classes or days of camp in the same week.
No credits or refunds will be granted in the event of dismissal from a class camp due to inappropriate behavior.
Behavioral Expectations -Details
During any teaching time, (class or camp) we expect each individual to behave respectfully by taking direction, staying on task, and accepting the guidance of staff and teachers.
We expect each individual to refrain from behaviors that abuse the property of the host facility. Making deliberate marks on tables, chairs, walls, floors, etc is strictly prohibited.
We expect each individual to refrain from behaviors that abuse the property of the teacher providing the service. Deliberate destruction of supplies and materials is strictly prohibited.
During any non-teaching time, (playground or snack or bathroom or water fountain) (or during before or after care time at camp) we expect each individual to respect the rules of the host facility as well as the rules of ArtzHub staff and teachers.
All rules are safety oriented.
All behavioral expectations are respect oriented.
In all situations, at all times, we require each individual to refrain from physical aggression or verbal bullying. It will not be tolerated.
Our programs are therapeutic in nature but we are not certified to address behaviors or conditions (diagnosed or un-diagnosed) that preclude a positive outcome.
ONLINE PAYMENTS
Please note that a convenience and security fee will be added when you pay online with a credit card.
Security and convenience fees added at check out go directly to our online payment processor and are non-refundable.
If you wish to forgo the security and convenience of paying online, you can pay by check or cash instead.
If, for any reason, a refund is granted for an online payment, the refund will be for the amount paid for our services, less the security and convenience fee.
2014-2019 SUMMER CAMP
We offer several week-long, half or full day summer camps for ages 5-11 from June to August each year. Mentorship opportunities are available for older children ages 12-14.
The fee is $175 per child, per half day camp.
The fee is $350 per child, per full day camp.
Discounts apply for 1 child in multiple camps or multiple children in 1 camp.
Participants may register for one or more weeks of camp.
Payments
Before May 30, annually, payment in full is required for the first camp week selected, per child. $50.00 of this fee is a non-refundable deposit.
Each additional camp week you choose requires a non-refundable deposit of $50.00, per child.
On or before May 30, annually, the balance of all camp fees must be paid in full.
After May 30, annually, payment in full is required per child, per week at the time of registration.
Discounts
Discounts Apply If:
Two (or more) children attend the same camp at the same time, Monday - Friday.
Morning Camp (9:00-12:30) OR Afternoon Camp (12:30-4:00) OR Full Day Day (9:00-4:00)
One child attends two (or more) of the same type of camp, Monday - Friday.
Writing Camp (9:00-12:30) OR Art Camp (12:30-4:00) OR Writing and Art Camp (9:00-4:00)

Discounts are valid only when camp weeks are purchased at the same time.
Discounts do not apply to weeks of camp added on after initial purchase unless added weeks qualify independently.
Discounts For Mentors (ages 12-14)
1st Summer Mentors/ 25% off regular camp fee (anyone may register for this position at camp)
Half Day (9:00-12:30 OR 12:30-4:00) $131.25 per child, M-F (one seat available per summer camp week)
Full Day (9:00-4:00) $262.50 per child. M-F (one seat available per summer camp week)
Returning Mentors/ 50% off regular camp fee, full or half day (by invite from the Camp Directors only)
Half Day (9:00-12:30 OR 12:30-4:00) $87.50 per child, M-F (one seat available per summer camp week)
Full Day (9:00-4:00) $175.00 per child. M-F (one seat available per summer camp week)
Pro-Rated Services
Before Care and After Care may be added at any time for $8 per service, per child, per day.
Empty camp seats become available to everyone 72 hours (3 days) before the desired camp week start date.
MORNING 9:00-12:30 -- $35 per child, per half day
AFTERNOON 12:30-4:00 -- $35 per child, per half day
FULL DAY 9:00-4:00 -- $70 per child, per full day
Withdrawal Or Modification Of A Camp Reservation
Before May 30, annually, withdrawals from summer camp will result in losing the $50 non-refundable deposit paid per camp.
Fees paid minus the $50.00 non-refundable deposit, per camp, will be refunded, less online transaction fees.
Full refunds may be granted for verified medical emergencies which result in the cancellation of a camp reservation, less online transaction fees.
After May 30, annually, withdrawals or modifications to summer camp reservations are subject to the following policies:
With at least 10 business days notice in writing...a credit for unused camp fees will be given IF notice of withdrawal is be submitted in writing to Kim McCullough at least 10 business days before the the start date of the camp reservation you wish to cancel or modify.
Missed camp days can be made up during the same summer, pending availability, OR by scheduling a teacher work day camp during the Fall.
Credits for missed summer camp days expire annually on December 31 and cannot be applied to the next year.
Without at least 10 business days notice in writing...withdrawals or modifications to your camp reservation will result in losing fees paid.
Refunds may be granted for verified medical emergencies which result in the cancellation of a camp reservation, less online transaction fees.
No Shows DURING Your Child's Reserved Camp Week
Failure to attend a camp day (or days) without notice will result in the loss of fees paid.
Missed Camp Days DURING Your Child's Reserved Camp Week With 24 Hours Notice
Written notice must be received by Kim McCullough 24 hours before the missed camp day.
Missed camp days may be made up during the same summer in a different week of camp, pending availability.
Credits for missed camp days expire annually August 31 and cannot be used for teacher work day camps.
Cancellation of a Camp Due To Insufficient Enrollment
We will provide at least 10 business days notice of cancellation in the event of insufficient enrollment.
You will be offered the choice of a full credit or a full refund, less online transaction fees.
Summer Camp credits expire one year past the date of accepted credit. They may be used for teacher work day camps within the same time frame, if preferred.
2022 IN-PERSON AFTER SCHOOL ART CLASSES - ALL LOCATIONS
Payment
Payment in full is due at the time of registration for the 1st session your child joins.
You may reserve your child's seat in additional sessions with a $25 non-refundable deposit per child, per session.
The balance will be due before the start date of each reserved session.
Deposits
Deposits may be combined and/or are transferable to other sessions.
Deposits may be used by a different child in the same after school art class.
Deposits are non-refundable.
Deposits for after school art apply to after school art classes only.
Unused deposits expire annually on May 30.
Late Joiners/ Pro-Rated Sessions
New students may join us in an ArtzHub class, mid-session, at any time, pending availability.
Fees will be pro-rated.
No Shows
Failure to attend a class without notice will result in the loss of fees paid.
Credit for Missed Classes
A credit is guaranteed only for classes missed due to a verified medical emergency.
Credit requests must be in submitted in writing and are granted at the sole discretion of Kim Mccullough.
Credits will expire annually on May 31 if not used. Credits do not apply to the next school year.
No credit will be issued for classes missed due to inappropriate behavior.
Cancellation of a Class Due to Insufficient Enrollment
ArtzHub will provide around 5 business days notice of class cancellation in the event of insufficient enrollment and issue a full refund, less online transaction fees, unless a credit is preferred. (Credits do not include online transaction fees.)
Cancellation of a Class Due School Closings/ Unforeseen Circumstances Beyond Our Control
In the event of school closings due to inclement weather, anticipated or actual hazardous conditions, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, ArtzHub classes unfortunately must be cancelled.
No refunds will be granted for cancellations due to school closings.
A pre-recorded art lesson video will be sent to you on Friday of the same week, around 5pm, to make up for the missed class.
The video may be used at any time.

Withdrawal BEFORE OR AFTER Classes Begin
Requests for withdrawal from after school art - for any reason, at any time - must be submitted in writing (email) to Kim McCullough.
A credit of unused after school art class fees (less online transaction fees) will be issued for use towards any ArtzHub class, camp, birthday party or painting party. Credits expire one year past the date the credit is issued.
If a credit is not desired, a partial refund of 50% of unused after school art class fees paid (less online transaction fees) will be mailed to you with 10 business days of receiving your written withdrawal request.
A full refund of unused after school art class fees (less online transaction fees) is only guaranteed in the event of a verified medical emergency.
No credit or refund will be issued for dismissal due to inappropriate behavior.
2014-2019 Teacher Work Day Camps
Teacher Work Day Camps, Winter Break Camps and Spring Break Camps are offered for children ages 5-11 every school year from September to May. Mentorship opportunities are available for older children ages 12-14.
These camps are full day, 9:00-4:00.
Participants may register for one or more dates.
The fee is $70 per child, per day.
Discounts are for multiple children in one camp or one child in multiple camps.
Payment
For one child in one camp, the fee is $70. (9:00-4:00)
Payment in full is required for all workshops or camps at the time of registration.
Only payment will reserve your child's seat in any camp.
Discounts For Campers Ages 5-11
Discounts are valid only when qualifying camp dates are purchased at the same time.
Discounts do not apply to camp dates added on after initial purchase.
Two siblings/friends registered for one date / $65 per child (9:00-4:00)
Three or more siblings/friends registered for one date/ $60 per child (9:00-4:00)
Four or more siblings/friends registered for one date/ $55 per child (9:00-4:00)
OR
One child registered for two dates/ $65 per camp date (9:00-4:00)
One child registered for three or more dates/ $60 per camp date (9:00-4:00)
One child registered for four or more dates/ $55 per camp date (9:00-4:00)
Discounts For Mentors Ages 12-14
Anyone ages 12-14 may register for this position at a teacher work day camp
There is one mentor seat available per camp date
$55 per child, per camp date (9:00-4:00)
Cancellation Of TWD Camp Reservation - UP TO 24 Hours Before Camp Date
Full Credit - expires 6 months from the date of cancellation. Credits may be applied to teacher work day camps or summer camps that occur during the 6 month credit period but they do not apply to services scheduled past the date of expiration, except in the event of a verified medical emergency.
OR
50% Refund - a refund check for 50% of fees paid, less online processing fees, will be mailed to you within 5 business days of date of cancellation. In the event of a verified medical emergency, a full refund, less online payment processing fees, will be mailed to you within 5 business days of cancellation.
Cancellation Of TWD Camp Reservation - LESS THAN 24 Hours Before Camp Date
No Credit - no credits will be given, except in the event of a verified medical emergency.
AND
No Refund - no refunds will be given, except in the event of a verified medical emergency.
No Show - On Camp Date
No Credit - no credits will be given, except in the event of a verified medical emergency.
AND
No Refund - no refunds will be given, except in the event of a verified medical emergency.
Cancellation of a Camp Due to Insufficient Enrollment
A full credit for unused teacher work day camp fees will be issued for future use in any camp, class, birthday party or painting party, pending availability. Credits expire one year past the date the credit is issued.

Cancellation Of A Camp Due To Schools Using The Date As Make Up Day
A full credit for unused teacher work day camp fees will be issued for future use in any ArtzHub camp, class, birthday party or painting party, pending availability. Credits expire one year past the date the credit is issued.
No refunds will be granted for cancellation of a camp due to schools using the date as a make up day.

Cancellation of a Camp Due School Closings/ School Schedule Changes/ Unforeseen Circumstances Beyond Our Control
In the event of school closings or school schedule changes due to inclement weather, anticipated or actual hazardous conditions, or unforeseen circumstances beyond our control, ArtzHub camps unfortunately must be cancelled.
A full credit for unused camp fees will be issued for future use in any ArtzHub camp, class, birthday party or painting party, pending availability. Credits expire one year past the date the credit is issued.
No refunds will be granted for cancellations due to school closings or school schedule changes.

Half Day Option
72 hours prior to the camp date all remaining seats become available in half day increments. Half day camp seats are $35 (9:00-12:30) or (12:30-4:00).
No discounts apply to half day seats.
2022 In-Person Painting Party Policies
Payment - Booking Fee
The booking fee payment is required to guarantee the party date/time, at the time the party is scheduled.
The amount of the booking fee depends on the type of party you are reserving.
The booking fee may be paid by credit card on our website via a private party payment link (that we create and provide to you) OR by a check that you mail to PO BOX 3028, Chapel Hill, NC 27515.
Payment - Additional Guests
Additional guests may be added, up to the maximum allowed per type of party, for $25 or $35 per person, depending on the type of party you have booked.
Guests may pay by credit card on our website via a private party payment link (that we create and you email to your guests) OR by a check that guests mail to us.
Guests are expected to pay before the scheduled party date.
However, if the party is not full, and last minute guests would like to join us on the date of the party, they can either pay online OR bring a check OR bring (exact) cash to the party to pay me in person.
Party Set Up and Party Clean Up
I will arrive approximately 30 minutes before the party’s scheduled start time to set up.
I will bring table covers, a trash can and provide all art supplies.
I will need to use your sink (or source of water) to fill and clean out our water containers.
I will need approximately 30 minutes after the party’s scheduled end time to clean up.
Scheduled Party Time
I will start and end the painting party on time, according to our agreed to schedule.
Painting parties take approximately 3 hours.
30 minutes to set up
2 hours for the painting lesson
30 minutes to clean up
If your guests need extra time, you can add on 30 minutes to the painting lesson (making the lesson 2.5 hours) for an additional $20 in cash at the end of the party.
Regarding Food At Painting Party
Although painting parties are definitely a BYOB kind of experience…
…in most cases, there is simply not enough room at the table for all painting supplies and plates of food.
Even if there is, eating during the painting lesson significantly slows the group down.
If you want your guests to eat while they paint, let me know. You can add $35 to the booking fee and I’ll be be prepared to stay up to an hour longer.
An ideal time for you and your guests to eat, drink and mingle is 30-60 minutes before our painting lesson starts, in a different room.
Guests - No Shows
Failure to attend a painting party without notice will result in the loss of fees paid.
Exceptions for verified medical emergencies.
Guests - Withdrawal From A Painting Party
Written notice (to Kim McCullough) is required to withdraw from a painting party.
A credit will automatically issued to those who withdraw from a painting party, valid for one year past the original painting party date.
Exceptions for verified medical emergencies.
Hosts - Cancellation Of A Painting Party For Any Reason
No refunds will be given for the cancellation of a painting party - for any reason - including but not limited to change of plans, inclement weather or unforeseen circumstances.
A credit will automatically be issued to all registered participants in the event of a party cancellation, valid for one year past the canceled date.
Exceptions for verified medical emergencies.
